Generally, the vibe in LA/OC is to take things slow. Because there can be a lot of traffic, it’s best not to cram too many things into a day. Thanks to Denise Capuozzo for helping us fill out this sheet!

⚠️ The Huntington Beach Air Show is taking place the same weekend, which means there may be extra traffic! Please plan accordingly (and maybe you can even attend if it interests you!)

If you end up staying for a little longer, here are some notable activities. We haven’t done many of these ourselves…!
- The Vietnamese Film Fest is starting this weekend! Sept 30 – Oct 15.
- Isamu Noguchi’s California Scenario (near South Coast Plaza, a big mall) AKA Noguchi Garden.
- Huntington Beach - Classic SoCal Surfing Beach town - shops, restaurants, boardwalk, pier. Popular place for bonfires on the beach at night, but you’ve got to go early to nab a pit!
- Catalina Island Day Trip - ferries from Long Beach and Newport Beach
- Newport Beach - Touristy harbor town with a Ferris Wheel - lots of food and shops
Costa Mesa
Little Saigon
- Coffee
- Da Vien is a very trendy and popular spot right now! It’s close to the banquet hall and right in the heart of Little Saigon
- Trung Nguyên Legend Cafe is Vietnam’s most famous coffee chain (think Starbucks), and they’re opening their first coffee shop in the US on Sept 21! Also in Westminster.
